The Quality Assurance (QA) Assistant will support the QA department in ensuring that material, products, and services meet established standards of quality. The QA Assistant will perform inspections, conduct testing, prepare reports, handle documentation, assist in maintaining the Quality Management System, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
- Review incoming raw material certifications, working directly with vendors and purchasing to rectify inconsistencies.
- Update and distribute controlled documents.
- Maintain Engineering Change Notices, approvals, and implementation.
- Maintain Technical and Safety Data Sheets for raw materials.
- Review production records for Minnesota and Mexico divisions.
- Assist with Internal auditing.
- Gather and maintain appropriate records of raw materials and products for verification during internal and external audits.
- Assist with lab testing as needed.
- Assist with customer feedback and corrective and preventative actions.
Lab Support:
- Collect, prepare, and test products according to First Article procedures.
- Set up lab equipment as required.
- Organize and publish First Article Inspection reports
- Assist with calibrating and maintaining calibration records for all controlled measuring equipment.
- Prepare test reports as needed.
Administrative:
- Clerical data entry, document formatting, scanning, and saving.
- Internal communications and customer service activities.
Additional:
- Available for overtime as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned and directed.
